Dr. Amjad Badwan
Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Dr. Badwan received his highschool diploma from Garner Senior High School in 1999. A graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in Biological Sciences in 2003, he earned his Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2007, while also earning a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science in 2006. Dr. Badwan practiced Optometry in Northern Virginia for 3 years, before returning to North Carolina in early 2010. He is currently licensed to practice Optometry in North Carolina and Virginia.
Dr. Badwan is certified in Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT). His clinical rotations included Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and a specialty Pediatric Clinic at Nova Southeastern’s Davie Campus. He is proficient in Arabic, English, and Spanish Eye Examinations. In his spare time Dr. Badwan enjoys traveling and sports.
