Dr. Sanjay Patel
Dr. Sanjay Patel is a graduate of the University of Maryland-Baltimore County. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biological and Visual Sciences. After his undergraduate studies he earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) 2001. Following his graduation from PCO he completed a residency in corneal disease and contact lenses at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA.
Dr. Patel has written and lectured extensively on several topics involving specialty contact lenses. He has worked with many major contact manufactures including Bausch and Lomb, Ciba Vision, Coopervision and Johnson and Johnson. He is a fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Optometry (Cornea and Contact Lens Section). In addition, he is a member of the American Optometric Association and the North Carolina Optometric Association.
Dr. Patel preforms comprehensive eye care and the medical management of eye diseases including diabetic, hypertensive and glaucoma evaluations. Professional interests include the advance fitting of specialty contact lenses (ie, bifocal and keratoconus lenses), the treatment of corneal disease and dry eye patients.
